I have listed my spouse in the form I-485 part 3 and there is a question applying with you? What does this mean for me since I'm doing adjustement of status in the US while she will do consular processing in her country after green card is approved to me. In short she isn't going with me on the interview nor she submits I-485

What is your current immigration status -- H1B? L1? F1 student? Are you applying for an employment-based green card, or family-based, or other? Are you the primary and your spouse will be the derivative?

Hi,

I'm F1 student, won green card 2012 lottery and applying to adjust a status in the US through i-485 form
My wife is outside of the states and isn't eligible to apply to adjust a status. I filled I-824 form for her and she will do consular processing no I-485
Yes I am the primary applicant , my wife is derivative

Thanks for clarifying. You should answer NO to that "applying with you" question.

If your wife was going to enter the US to file I-485 as your derivative beneficiary (which isn't possible in your situation but would be possible if you had an L1 or H1B visa), you would answer YES and she would also answer YES to the same question when listing your name.

Thanks Jackolantern, that was the latest doubt I had. I have submitted today I-485 for AOS, and it is been a headache of the amount of documents needed.
