I recently got my H1B approved and change of status kicked in starting from October 1. I’m planning to visit India this October 23 for my Visa dropbox appointment. I believe I need the form 797 approval notice that was sent to me by USCIS. What the problem is that USCIS has not sent it yet to my lawyer or my employer. The lawyer has reapplied for the approval notice once, and they still hasn’t like received the approval notice, when I asked my lawyer about this, he saying I don’t need a receipt of approval for visa stamping but rather just the approval confirmation on UHCIS portal. What do I do in this case? Should I wait for my approval notice so I can go to India, or can I just go with the confirmation screenshot on UHCIS?
