Hi Guys,

I just scheduled a infopass appointment for PP stamping. I am on H-1B now, never applied EAD card nor AP. My I-797 is not in my hand right now. I mailed I-797 to my parents for their visa purpose.

My question is : Do I need to bring I-797 for PP stamping? If not, what documents do I need to bring?

Any info is helpful, thank you very much
BB

You absolutely need -
1. passport with I-94 card attached
2. the 485 approval notice
3. Infopass appt. printout
4. two passport photos

Any other relevant documents like H1B approval notice in your case would be safe to take, but I don't think is required.

don't forget to take all your old EADs and Advance Paroles...They don't mentioned it anyewhere but they will certainly ask for it

I am still waiting for the approval letter. Will it mention any restrictions like the photos size or etc...?

Thanks for advise.

The photos should be passport-type.
I didn't bring any APs and EADs with me and it didn't cause any problems. My lawyer said that it wasn't a requirement, but I have to destroy them myself to guarantee that they fall into someone else's hands.

I didn't mention EAD and AP in this specific case because BB72 said he had never applied for those. But for people who do have EAD/AP, they must take those with them.

Could you tell me if the approval notice was sent to your lawyer or to yourself?

Thanks a lot

Hi BB72,

Sure, I will let your know once I rerceive the approval letter. By the way, did you do your appointment from the website? Is the website address http://infopass.uscis.gov/ ? I tried it, but couldn't get the place to make the appointment. Thanks for your advise.

BB,
You will get a courtesy copy of the approval notice, the lawyer will get the original copy and then he should send that to you.
Many people in this forum say they have done PP stamping with just the courtesy copy, but just to be safe, I took both notices with me. And gave them the original notice sent from my lawyer.

Yes, that is the website, the only problem with me is that I had to cancel my first appointment due to some personal reason, then I try to make a appointment again. Then it says" you can not any more appointment at this time", So I switched to a second PC and got it done.

When we were interviewed, my wife was not approved because her name check is pending but the officer took her original I-94. Since this is a requirement for PP stamping after approval, would there be a problem if we don't have the I-94 with us? We have photo copies though.

Thanks.

Hi BB72/little Rain,

Hi Siva2911,

Thanks so much for your kind suggestion. I will try to do it tonight or tomorrow early morning. Do you know if I will be allowed to do the address change when I go for stamping. I mean I intend to move out in short time but don't know if they will mail the green card to my new address?
