What documents are needed for applying EAD (applied after I-485 filling)?

What documents are needed to apply for EAD after I-485 filling? I also plan to go to local INS office Nework to apply in person.
Please share your experience about how early you have to go there, and how long it takes to process the EAD, and can one get the
EAD right away, or has to wait for the approval through local office. Thanks.

I just mailed mine application to local office although some folks told me I need to submit to Vermont which is processing my 485. You can go to INS website (located at your 485 receipt)..form and fee..look for I765 and it tells you everything you need to submit. Good luck!

You need to have the following documents for your EAD.
1) Your I-485 receipt notice
2) Previous EAD copy (if any)
3) Filled in I-765 form along with the Signature Card.
4) Your Cheque.
5) 2 Color Photographs (should be in the format required by INS)
   If you got SEARS and tell them the photo for Immigration purpose. They generally know what you are talking about.

Thanks a lot whatthehell. Do I need to make appointment with INS local office? or you can just go there any day to submit the application. They after that how long one should expect to received the EAD? Thanks.
