Hi ALL,
what documents does one have to provide to bring one's parents to US on visiter visa.? Thanks.

Hello,

First to understand the procedure.

if u are inviting ur parents for visit, u may need to send documents to ur parents to carry for interview,

A letter to parents inviting them for visit , in letter u specify visit places like Disney/Universal std, etc.
if your parents are declaring in form your name as financial support than u also should declare in letter that u will take care of those exp/es

A letter to consular name asking him/her to grant visit visa, and same if ur name in financial support u should write.

do specify ur add in both letters.

I-134 for support and related document showing ur bank certificate/assists. job letter. income, and other property doc if u have.

Your Status documents, Passport copies, etc

All doc will be send to ur parents to carry on interview time and even ask or not show them.

I believe thats it.

The most impt thing, ur parents should show them strong ties with home country, that they would return back, by submiting Affidavit, showing
ties with country
ties with business/income
tiest with family etc

Again very strong ties and solid bases, then apply with confidence and leave all on God. whatever God wish. :D :D

Good luck

Try this link: http://www.path2usa.com/immigration/visitorvisa/visitor_visa.htm

It has all the info & doc requirements for visitor visa. During 2003, I
used this site as a guidance to bring my parents to US on visitor visa.

From the experience of my friends & mine, I presume that the US
Consulates don't bother too much if the visitor - dependent in this
case - is 55 years or older. One of my friends' in-laws came to US
two years ago; they had problems because they - my friends' in-laws -
were >=50 years old. They had produce many documents like
income tax return, employment verification etc.

So, depending on the support documents you provide and the age of
the dependents/visitors, the Consulate decides the visa.

Good luck..
