Can someone help me please? I am confused on what to do.
I had filed I-130 for my wife (is in India), last year (5/8/03) while I was a Greencard holder.
I just received my citizenship on 7/9/04. I have sent the form to update my status to TSC.
What is the best way for me to bring wife to US as fast as possible?
I hear different things: I-129F, K-3, filing I-130 in New Delhi.
Reading the posts in this forum, some folks are talking about filing I-485. Some others talk about sending forms to NBC...

Could someone give me some directions ?

Thanks much,
Paul George

Just ask ur wife to apply for K3 at delhi consulate.. Make sure you send all papers to her pertaining to her I-130 & any NVC communication & ur citizenship cert.. Consulate will request whatever they need from NVC..You don't have to worry about it.. But also send a letter via certified mail, asking to upgrade your status to NVC/CIS, if you know where ur wife's I-130 is at..

Filing for K3 in Delhi?

Can my wife file for K3 in Delhi?
I thought I had to send I-129F to the Chicago center and they will send the approval to the consulate.
I have sent a request to upgrade my I-130 for my wife to that of US citizen status. I received a reply saying that I need to submit I-538 (which is for a student!). They sent me back a copy of I-797 for the I-130 with a stamp on it saying: "ACTION COMPLETED. APPROVED FOR FILING" what does this mean?

Thanks
P. George

I filed my wife's I-130 at Calif SC. After getting much confused about NBC in the forum I called the National Customer Service number.

I was told by two different individuals at the 800 customer service # not to worry about NBC. They said the following:

1. after I get my Citizenship just write a simple letter to the CSC with my Certificate and the Notice of action attached which I received following filing my wife's I-130.
2. CSC will send necessary paperwork to NVC in New Hampshire
3. NVC then will send a packet to my wife in Canada (She is a canadian parmanent resident)
4. My wife has to send the packet back to NVC with all they asked for
5. Following the receipt my wife's packet, NVC will issue an interview date with local Canadian consulate for an immigrant visa.
6. Medical Exam needs to be done prior to interview
7. Interview and Visa will be issued

My question is how long would this process take ???
