My attorney told me that the whole AOS process
would take less than a year, which now I assume
is totally nonesense after being familiar with many
cases and stories in this forum.

I've known several ppl that have gotten their GCs in less than 1 year. All cases are different, but it is possible...

I even know of two ppl that got their GCs in 7 months.

Oh that happened like 6 months ago :))
I got a lawyer... from New York... if that guy is gonna win my case... Im gonna make such publicity for him, he cannot imagine :))
