What could be the reason for delay in I-485 approval

Hi All:

I wonder what is the reason behind delay in approval of I-485 cases...
1) Many ppl got there I-140 approved and falls under EB2 where no
restrogression is in effect...
2) Some ppl got there I-140 approved and falls under EB3 with current
Priority Date...
3) Many ppl have not been affected by retrogression...

still we have not seen many approval since begining of FEB....

PS: It seems many USCIS immigration officer's has been let go....or may be they are????????

There is no logic or reason ..

When it comes to the USCIS anything and everything is possible. It is really hard for someone to figure out exactly what is going on. Rules change every month and who knows what approval process they are currently following. I do agree with you that we have not seen many 485 approvals this month. There have been a handful but things have been slow. 140 approvals on the other hand have been very common. All we can do is wait and hope that some officer finally gets to our case in a timely manner and does what is needed to approve it.
