What can we do when it is stuck at name check?

I have contacted FBI name check a few times since end of April and so far no response from FBI. I believe that my name is either a hit or INS does not send the name check request to FBI.

What can we do at this stage?

1) contact the senator or congressman?
2) contact the company lawyer?

Your suggestions will be appreciated.
 
Lawyer won't be much help. Some congressman/sanators are useless too. Therefore, contact both local congressman and senators. Write letter to them and then call back to follow up.
 
Well, I was totally fed up with the waiting for the name check response and started drafting a letter to seek help from a Senator.

While I was writing, I got a fax from FBI in reply to my fax inquiry dated May 4, 2004, saying that "The FBI completed a record check for you on December 15, 2002, and for <my wife's name> on December 29, 2002. The results were forwarded to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. However, the FBI does not conduct security checks on children fourteen years of age and under."

Now I believe that our cases are adjustment-ready and hopefully we will see the approval soon.

Have you done your second FP yet?
I got exactly the same message from FBI too. FBI said that thay sent the result back to BCICS on Dec 02 and I did my first FP on Dec 02. BCICS asked me to do the second FP this year. I don't know if it means that it has to go through FBI again.

Could you tell me how did you contact FBI for name check? I saw some threads post the phone and fax number, but I can't find them now.
 
Name Check Completed when a RFE is Issued?

A RFE has been issued ("Confirmation of Employment") by USCIS. Does this mean that the name check has already been completed? Any idea whether it is worth contacting the FBI with the name check? Please advise. Thanks

Yes, I did 2nd FP on 05/22/04 and online status is updated on 05/28.
