What can i do ?

Hi Folks

I have done my PP stamping at detroit office during second week of November and still haven't received my card ! So i called the customer service number to inquire about my card status (If you didn't receive your card after 30 days of you become Perm. resident you can call for status) and the lady said that they haven't received any information from local office (photos & I-94 etc..) to process my card.. so they asked to check with the local office..which is detroit local office

So i went to detroit local office to check about the status of my card and guess what... they have whole set of approval notices in a big box for all Nov '04 stamp holders and just sitting there.. and the IIO officers at the windows doesn't have any idea when will they send out those notices to process the cards.. simply they dont care for those and never give a damn about it.. and dont care what the customer service says.

I checked with other friends of mine who got stampped in Oct '04 and they didnt even received their cards yet and waiting...

What are my options in this matter ? what can i do ?

Since Detroit falls under NSC jurisdiction, I hope they send your package to VSC.

I did my stamping in Chicago (NSC jurisdiction), I was specifically told by my lawyer to remind to the stamping officer to forwarded it to VSC. Officer in Chicago told me that they will send it to the address of the service center in the approval notice. I think in the usual case it should be fine...

Thanks for your efforts in finding out. I also did my PP stamping at Detroit (Mine is VSC case too)on 12/17 so looks like I have to wait for another 3 months.

FYI- one of my friend did stamping for himself and wife on 10/15 at Detroit (His case is VSC too) and he received card only for his wife on 1/1. He is still waiting for his . Kids received theirs in October itself.

me too in the same boat as your friend (earlier boat actually)... did our stamping in detroit on 09/29/04, wife got card in first week of november, i'm still waiting. called up the toll free number after 60 days... no response to that either till now.
I am planning to mail the G-731V form to Vermont Service Center now that its been more than 90 days; hopefully they will reply to that.

I guess your card must be processing at this time. Thats why there is an update on your case.

I guess if you call the customer service and talk to VSC IIO officer they will tell you whether they have your information with them and how long will it take to complete the card before you file G-731V.

In my case i see my approval notice and photos and I-94 just laying there and its been 45 days and they have no idea when they will send out and the officers at the window seem to have some attitude issue when we reason them.

I will wait for few more days and see any update on my case, if not i will write to Washington about mis management. I spoke to my friend he said he got his card after 6 months of stamping his passport at the same office which seem very unreasonable.
