WHat are the risks associated with CP?

Someone pls guide.
I am on an L1 A and understand that CP is the fatest way to get GC.
Have been told it is very risky.
Need some gyan from you Gurus.

CP right now is moving faster than the AOS.

Statistics do not support the statement 'very risky'. The problems you anticipate at the CP will also surface at the adjudication process. However the clear difference is for the CP you are in your home country without any legal back up.

As long as you are confident about the facts of your case, CP is
a good choice. Another factor is with the CP you must hold on to your job till the whole process is over ( with the exception of the
cases where a third party is processing your GC ).

With the AOS you can take shelter under AC21 after 180 days of
filing for the 485.

My case...I am on an L1 A.
I do not think I have the 180 day protection after filing I-485.
Am I wrong in the assumption?

Please guide.

I am sorry, I missed the L1 part.

I have no idea how things change if you are on an
Inter-company visa.
