Hey recently approved guys...

I'm not privileged enough to go through the feeling of GC approval... But I was just curious as to how it changed u'r life the first few days after your approval...

What did you guys do? How did you celebrate? What things have you started considering now? What have you stopped doing??

I guess it would be fun for us less privileged ones to know......

:)

Dude,

You make it sound as if getting GC is like attaining Nirvana.
Nothing is going to change, if at all life, it is going to be even
more boring, as now you have nothing to wait for. If you
think about it, only thing GC does is to free you from
getting visa every 2 to 3 years as is the case in H1B. Also
from a practical view point having GC and US passport may
free you having to go to EU consulates to get Schengen visa.
So if someone is a frequent world traveller for tourist purposes,
it does help a lot to have US passport or greencard, as most
countries won't ask you for visa for short trips lasting few months.

Otherwise if your life sucked before GC, it is going to be as
bad after GC. If you were kicking butts before GC, you will
continue to do so. It does not really matter.
