Friends,
I want to find out what are Documents required for the stamping after the I-485 is approved and would also like to know how much time the INS/CIS gives to get the Passport stamped after it gets approved. I am planning to go to India for few weeks and hoping to get my case approved this month as i filed on Apr,2002 and answered my RFE last month.

Appreciate all your help.

Thanks

Take your Passport, I-94, Approval Notice (Courtesy Copy is fine), Un-expired Advance Parole Documents and EAD's, 2 Immigration (ADIT style) photographs (can be taken at Walmart, Sears, JC Penny, Walgreens etc studios). Thats all that is required. Some of the officers' do not even ask for the AP and EAD, but better to carry them with you, in case they ask. There is no fixed time limit within which to stamp the passport, but unless you stamp the passport and get your signatures and FingerPrint taken, the application for Green Card is not submitted, so the sooner you do it, the better. Good Luck.

Do we need Employment Letters

Thanks Rg585,
Do we also need to take any documents to furnish our employment e.g. Employment Letters, Pay Stubs or W-2 Tax Returns etc.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Nope, just what I have mentioned above. Its much easier than you think. Just write your A# and Name on the back of the photos as well in Pencil.
