What are the disadvantages of hiring on EAD for an employer?

Hello Guys,

A prospective employer is willing to offer a great job but only after GC, I dont think they understand what is an EAD? With current processing, my case may take 4-6 months more (as per NSC IIO). It has been now a year since my 485 is pending.

do you guys know if there are potential disadvantages for employers to hire on EAD ?

Any insights would be appreciated.
