hi all
I have graduate from High school recently in Syria and I want to study Electrical engineering in Ohio.
I can fill the university application after I get my high school certificate and that will be in 20 days form now.
I have 2 uncles and 1 aunt in the US and they are all US citizens ,will that affect my chances or something?
anyway,I am 19 years old and my uncle will pay for my education plus my father but my uncle will be the official sponsor.
I am worried about the consular consul in the US embassy in Beirut ,many of my friends say that the staff in the US embassy at Beirut are so mean and that really worries me ,what do you think?
I am originally from Syria ,will that be a problem (due to the current situation in Syria)??
the US embassy in Damascus has been closed since Feb/2012 and they said that Syrian applicants can now apply at the US embassy in Jordan but the lawyer told me I can do that in any US embassy ,should I apply in Jordan as the embassy said?
does the consular refuse/accept applicants according to his mind? will he give me an explanation letter in case he refused to issue a visa?
how can I persuade him/her I want to go back to my home country once I finish my university years in the US?
how can he be sure I will/won't come back?
do you think going through the interview using English when talking to the consular will help in anyway?
my uncle who is gonna be my sponsor is a professor at Case Western reserve in Ohio and it is a very well know university ,is there any benefit of that?
what do you advice me in General?
p.s:
my high school average is 70% ,is it too low ?
