What after AOS interview

Hi All

I and my wife (USC) had AOS interview at Newark on Wednesday. At the end the IO said everything looks good to him. There are some processing left so we can expect GC in 30 days. He also gave me an envelope to return the EAD card after I receive the GC.

Is my name check pending? He didn't say anything about name check. He gave me a paper with some reasons that included FBI name check and none of those were checked. Any idea how to find out if my name check is pending or not.

Well you should have asked him about it. But if the "name check" box was not checked, you can assume you're OK and just wait. Your I-485 status will probably be updated online in a couple of days - that will most likely mean approval of your petition and sending the file back to MSC (or whatever center you are under) for final processing and card production.

They will approve you, otherwise they won't say you can expect your GC in 30 days. If they denied you, usually they will deny you on the spot.
