Finally after 7 and a half years got the notification.. I had originally applied in May 2002 under EB3.. However caught in retrogression for years.. My wife applied in EB1 last year and got I-140 approved in Nov 2009 under 'Extraordinary Ability'. We requested our already filed I-485 applcations pending since June 2005 to be approved based on the new I-140 approval and voila - today Jan 5 got the great news.. We were in the India category.. Senator Feinstein's office was extremely helpful and the lady there was very nice in pushing this through NSC via this channel of transferring already pending I-485 petition to a new I-140..
