Welcome notice but no card for spouse

Hi,

Both of us got our welcome notices in the mail last week. It says we should get the card in 3 weeks. However, only I have gotten the card so far. For my wife, the online status still says "Welcome Notice mailed". In my case I got the Card Production Ordered status the following day and the actual card in a week. There is no mention of requiring any Biometrics for my wife either. Besides we just gave our Biometrics last September. So, it should be current.

I took an Infopass today to check and the IO would not reveal anything. The IO confirmed the approval for my wife but he asked me to wait for 60 days! He says they will not check on anything until then!! Anybody else in this boat where the primary got the physical card while the dependent is approved but card production is still not ordered? I cannot understand what the hold up could be.

Why can't they just order the card when they have already approved and biometrics are available???

To top it off, the IO would not even stamp my wife's passport even though we have the original Welcome Notice!! So, my wife is approved but has no card yet to prove that fact. FRUSTRATING.

It's only been a week. When you are that impatient, USCIS people will get mad and run you away if you question them. For some people it takes a few weeks for the card to arrive. Wait a month before any further inquiry, unless she has to travel urgently and does not have her Advance Parole.

Hurraay I got my email today card production ordered i am very happy but at the same time they sent me another email for my wife and children (11,7 years old) that initial evidence required case placed on hold.
Can anybody tell me whats going on???
I am happy as well as a little frustrated also with these emails for my family. It is like you are at an oasis in a desert there is water but you are nowhere. you cannot stay there and you dont want to leave either.
Can somebody tell me how much time will they take after resubmitting the evidence required by them.
