Yesterday I got "Welcome Notice" Letter.
After my approval http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=143065&page=14&pp=15

It has a different LIN # and Case Type I181.
Receipt Date is June 1, 2005 and Notice Date is Sep 30,2005.
I was approved and stamped on 22nd Sep'05 after transfer and interview

It also says I will receive my cards in 3 weeks.
If so that is really great.

Don't know What this Receipt Date is?
Any Input Gurus?

What is this welcome letter. Do I need to get it.
Please look into my signature, I already received the card.
Thanks

Normally we receive this letter after approval ( I think after biometrics).
Anyway it mention that Case Type I181 is filed for " CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE".

Anyway I also got mail from uscis that card has been ordered.

Lakshya,

I am little confused here, how was your LIN# changed?

Anyway Congratulations ! Enjoy your FREEDOM !!

Thanks

My LIN # for I485 is not changed.

- I got transferred my file to Chicago on 5/10. [Still it has same message]
- I went for Interview on 9/22 and got approved and stamped
- I received Welcome letter on 10/6. It has another LIN # for I181 Case Type
- I was also surprised by noting that it carries Receipt Date : June 1, 2005 and Notice Date : Sep 30,2005.

Received Plastic cards

On 10/14/2005 I received my plastic cards and also one more welcome letter .. .same matter with diff date.
(USCIS is very polite and co-operative once you are approved :) )
It was pretty fast.
Also it means if transfer cases are approved and stamped, there is no need for Biometrics.

Anyway dear friends this journey is over.
Thanks a lot for all your help and Thanks to Mr. Rajiv to provide us a platform to share all worries.

Good Luck friends..
