Welcome Letter And Plastic Card

Hi All:
I had a successful Interview for the GC(Employment Based) in December.I entered US on 11th of December 2003.I have not received any welcome Letters or Plastic card.
Is anyone having the same problem??

CP Gurus!!Can you please let me know when Can I expect my Welcome Letters?If it is too late whom should I contact.I contacted the USCIS Call Center
1-800-375-5283, they are asking for a receipt number.I cannot get a receipt number until I get the Welcome Letter, Please let me know what should I do.

{Normally it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get the welcome letter
followed by the plastic cards. In your case this time has
already passed. However you should not be too concerned
because, in some cases there may be slight delay.

At the airport they normally indicate 6 months as the time
you would receive your cards. }

{As you rightly noted, you would see the receipt number on
the welcome letter and you would be able to track from
that point}

I had my interview completed in Mumbai Consulate on 18th Dec. 2003. I entered USA - Houston on 12-29-2003.

I have received 3 welcome notices last Friday and this monday. Yesterday evening (Tuesday), we (me and my wife) received plastic cards. The whole process took 2 weeks from date of arrival. BTW,I have seen similar time-frame for KD1403 and Bombay2003.

This may not work but have you told the 1-800 guys that you have a "A" number stamped on your passport at P.O.E. and have not yet received the welcome notice? It may click. Why I am suggesting this option is because the welcome notice that I received had my case no. as well as my "A" no. So if they cannot answer, then you can request them to connect you to a Immigration Officer, if they cannot resolve it.

My POE was Newark, NJ..Did you know anyone from this POE and have got their Welcome Letters!!!

Hi Kavitha_cp,
Do not worry, i had my POE in Newark on the 9th of Nov,03 and recieved my Welcome letter and Plastic Card on the same day on the 15th of Dec. I have noticed that Newark is a bit slow compared to other POE's. It has happened with others with Newark as POE as well. So do not worry, you should have your welcome letter and PC within a week or two especially with all the christmas and new year holidays in between.

As Raju, kkulkar, amigo have mentioned it generally takes about 6 weeks to get welcome letter and upto 6 months for the green card to come in the mail. I am sure it is on its way and you will have it soon.

Kkulkar has made a good suggestion! Worth trying...

But definitely it is not worth getting stressed out about!

I called the Cust. Service and spoke with the Immigrant Officer, he told me to wait for 90 days!! :-( even without asking my name or my POE !!
