I received a letter from INS(Texas Service Center) in reference to "Immigrant Visa Received without the Immigration Inspector\'s Admission Stamp". It says that the TSC has received my immigrant visa but is unable to complete the processing for MY Permanent Resident card because it is missing the Immigration Inspector\'s Admission Stamp.
It asks me to either send a photocopy of my biographic page of my passport and the stamps on the passport at the port-of-entry ( I did CP) or go to the nearest INS office.
Is this an unusual sitiation and has this happened to someone that you before?
After 2 months of CP, I still have not received my GC card and when they finally got to my turn, they said they can not find the stamp which contains the Alien #. IS something wrong somewhere?
Please advise.
Thanks.
