Weird message, anybody knows what this means?

Hi:

A friend of mine is receiving this confusing message on his online status: "On September 27, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued." He started seeing this message 9 days after completing his fingerprinting. His RD is May 2002. Anybody knows what this message means?

loooks like an approval is on the way...search the forum..others have got similar messages/LUD
 
I got similar message.
USCIS issued a rfe on ead on Aug 3rd and sent to attorney address.Some
how it didn't go and returned to uscis.On Aug 11th USCIS put this message
on my case status and notified me in email. I understood this on Aug 15th
when I opened rfe mail which was sent directly to me in usps mail along with
original envelope to Attorney address.
 
I received it too on Sept 1st, 2004. Till date, I haven't received anything. I will be calling USCIS on Oct 1st since it will be 30 days since the LUD. But, people on this forum said that if it is for 485 then probably it is a RFE or a FP notice !
I did have an address change too before that but that was sometime around Aug 15th and all my other petitions show a LUD of 08/27/04 so ....god knows what they have sent or not sent !
