Weird: Change in AVM message for my case

Guys,
The message I was hearing on the AVM as of Wednesday of last week was saying : "On July xx, the documents we requested regarding your RFE were received and processing has begun on this case, blah blah blah".

Now I'm hearing a message which says: " Your I-485 application was received on "mm dd 2001" and a receipt was mailed indicating processing times... its taking between 390-420 days to process a case of this kind. You will be informed once a decision has been made on this case".

I dont know if they finally replaced the antiquated AVM with a new one or if they have restored the case status database from an older backup because from the info I've gathered, the new message I'm hearing is usually heard before FP notices are sent out.

I had my FP done in Dec 2001.

Has anybody noticed this difference.

Hi,
You said you are hearing the same message. If so can you please answer my questions

1) Did you also receive an RFE?

2) After you sent them the documents needed, did you receive an acknowledgement on the AVM for receipt of your documents?

If the answer to all of my above questions is Yes, can you please share your RD/ND and also details of your RFE and the dates when NSC mailed you the RFE and the date when the AVM acknowledged receipt of your documents.

I'd appreciate this info.

bvriyer1, the recent AVM madness has nothing to do with your case status. no matter you just filed your 485 last week, last month, last year, pre-fp, post-fp, RFE or even approved already, the status of your case is the same.
 
Guys, Can you recheck the AVM now

For me the AVM says "Approved" when I called the number today. Same message for my wife's case as well.

I'd appreciate if anybody can verify if the AVM reflects the most updated status for them. Atleast if the AVM gives the same status that it was giving prior to getting screwed up the last couple of days, that'll be comforting to know.

I really dont want to update my status to "Approved" until I actually get the approval notice in hand. Hopefully soon.

I received a curtosey copy of my approval notice today.

Here is my info.
PD 01/98
RD 04/20/01
FP 05/17/02
RFE asking about employment verification. sent reply on 7/17/02
AD 08/02

We also received an RFE for my spouse asking for physical evidence during the timeof wedding and proof of non immigrant status. Replied on 07/19/02 . My spouses case is kind of complicated, went out of status and we sent 485 supplement form along with $1000.00 fine. Still waiting for approval....
Any input my spouses case would be greatly appreciated.
