I just checked the BCIS website that message has change to
"On Oct 25, 2003, we mailed a notice to you requesting additional information......."

My GOD, I can not believe it.

One more question, I just got married last week in Vegas.

My lawyer say that as long as my marriage date is before the actual aproval date, it is ok for my wife to get approved as dependent. However I have not even submitted her case to BCIS.

Any comment or suggestion are very welcomed, esp from those with similar experience of adding spouce at such a late stage.

LC 66,

Thats what I heard from my lawyer too .. though I am not married yet, ...

marriage should happen before 485 approval .. you can later apply for her separately ..

He is right.

Also, lots of folks are getting RFE, 2nd FP, etc. but still not too many approvals. Weird huh?

Oct 25, 2003 was Saturday. Is it wildfires in LA force them to work?

If I submit her application seperately, she will get a wac-04 case number, does that mean she has to wait another long time? Or will her case has the same ND and RD as mine?

silly man, have they approved your case. When did you submit your response to RFE.

I am this type of unlucky person. My spouse filed 485 in Sep. 2001, and we got married in Oct 2001, then I filed 485 in Feb 2002, four months after the right time. Now I am still waiting and my spouse has got the card for more than one and half years. So I guess your wife will have a long time to wait, but her situation should be better than those relative-based green card applications.

rcen,

Does your spouse have to maintain a job after the approval, I am concerned if at the time of my spouse's approval sometime later, I lost my job , will my spouse still be able to be approved. Is there anything to do with my employment situation.
Or as long as I am approved, no matter what happens later to my job, my apouse's approval will be ok in one day.

I am also a same kinda applicant. Got married before my husbands GC approval. Filed the papers before approval (Mar 2002). My husband got approved (April 2002). I am still waiting and waiting and waiting. Its more than 20 months now.

After you are approved, it does not matter to your wifes case whether you have a job or not. Her case will be a derivative case and does not depend on ur employement status. Only that the 2 of you should be still together at the time for her interview.

Rcen, can u please put ur WAC details.

rcen, gcAwait,

seems you guys are seniors in this long dependent wait line. I am wondering whether the dependent can renew the EAD/AP annual by themselves, instead of asking lawyer to do so by paying service fees. Is there any problems renewing the EAD/AP?

thanks,
