My wife and I have been struggling with getting her Advance parole (I-131) approved. Our 130 is already approved and our employment authorization card has already arrived. Our 485 has an interview scheduled on Aug 1st. We initially filed all the documents in late December of '06. We were patiently waiting for the 131 to be processed when we were finally informed that the wrong box was checked. Around the 4th of July we refiled the 131, making sure to check the right box. Our application is still pending.
We have a trip scheduled to visit family in Japan on the 2nd of August. This trip has been planned for over a year. Now obtaining the advance parole is really coming down to the wire, is there any way of her being able to reenter the United States after our trip? I am coming back a week before my wife, if we leave the country and the advance parole comes in the mail, can I send it to her? Or is there any other solution, other document we could try to get in the US or in Japan to make this possible?
Please we are quite desperate, any help is greatly appreciated.
