On my receit letter from the los angeles district office, i was not issued a receipt number, only an A#. The receipt is dated October 30 2003 and signed by Jane E Arellano (Interim District Director). Its on plain white paper with a cash register receipt stapled to it. Until reading this forum, i thought it was normal not to have a receipt number but it seems like everyone who applied in california has one. anyways, is there a way for me to find my receipt number?
