Was INS open/working on 7/5/04?

My LUD changed to 7/5/05 today for I-485 and I-131.

Aren't they suppose to close today? Or may be some scheduled job updated their database???

Seems like they either worked yesterday or they had a feed running which automatically updated the LUD.

FYI, my LUD also changed to 07/05/04 yesterday after approval, I think its for ordering the card. I may be wrong though.

Count me in as well. My i-485 LUD changed on 7/5/04 after more then 2 years. Unfortunately, it still shows old data about the results of a first figerprint even though i had a second FP taken about 2 months ago. Lets keep our fingers crossed. There maybe some good news for us ahead.

Not only on 7/5/4 my I485 LUD changed, as I told earlier last friday (7/2/4) my wife received mail from USCIS at 6:00PM.

Hope they are working 7/24.

Working on 07/05/2004

I got the I-485 approval emails from USCIS on 07/05/2004.
But the message says like this :

This case has been approved. On July 2, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I think they approved the case on July 2nd and didnot updated the status.
The batch program ran on 5th and send out emails.

Just a thought.

Ok now this is a little scary but I talked to the immigration manager at my employer's and she said they she visited VSC a short while ago to look into the immigration process and all (don't know in what capacity she was able to do that though). According to her USCIS allows it's employees take case files home and work on them from home. If that is true, then perhaps somebody worked from home yesterday and remotely accessed and updated their computer systems.
