Warning - USCIS likely rejecting all new EAD's for now

FYI. The I-765 online is expired as of 8/31/08 and has been rejected in at least the attached post. Hopefully USCIS gets their act together and posts a corrected version shortly.

I assume that if you're receipt/priority date is before Aug 31st 2008, this is fine, correct?

I sure hope so. I can't wait to have my EAD because I have a possible employer waiting as soon as I get it. And I don't like my job anymore.

Form I-765

Just checked with the attorney & he said that use the most recent I-765 form from the uscis web site and if the one available expired on 8/31/08, you don't have much choice but to simply go ahead & use that one. He said that it doesn't make any sense to wait for a new version and not apply for EAD.
