All of our family members, My wife, 2 childre(13 years, 9 years), got our GCs in Oct 2002. Had been in US for the last 28 months and never traveled out. Now, v wud like to go back to India in June 2005 for our children's studies over there and come back after their studies( may take 4 years..).. By June we will be completing 32 months without any break.
What are the options we can use such that GC is not abandoned and v can become citizens?
As we have stayed 32 months without any break, does it satisfy the "physical presence" requirement of 30 months for citizenship? If this is the case, can we come back for every 6 months to US for 2 weeks and go back again w/o affecting our GCs and "continous residence" clause for citizenship?
Please suggest any solution that can meet both our needs and of US's.
