Guys,
The topic might not be relavent here. Sorry if I have wasted your time opening my post.
I'm very interested in moving to Seattle. Is anyone from that area? How is the IT job market there? I know there are Microsoft, Starbucks and AT&T Wireless. Any other big players? Did the economic slowdown hurt the local market a lot, or still booming? I heard DC and Atlanta are two exceptions.
How is the weather? Does it really rain a lot? I hate driving in the rain after dark.
What about the real estate? What's the average price for a single-family house, say 2000 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms/2 baths? Is it getting close to one in LA, like $400K?
Every big city has good and bad parts of town. Not to discriminate anyone, but I do want to raise a family in a safe community with good school system. So which towns in Seattle are considered good, and which ones should be more cautious?
Thank you for your inputs!
