Want to go to school after GC

My I-485 was approved last week. I have been planning to take up further studies (plan to start Jan 2006). I am aiming at one-year courses in europe.
As I understand I will have to file an application for re-entry permit.

Is there anything else I need to take care of other than filing tax returns.One other thing I am concerned about is that my wife's application is not yet approved.She was added to my application in Aug 2004.

Any advise/suggestions/ feedbacks are appreciated.

I wonder how would an answer to your question change the response to the question originally asked? In my opinion your query is irrelevant.
