Want to apply Canadian visitor Visa - I 94 expired HELP.........

I need to apply for canadian visitor visa at Canadian embassy in US, but my I 94 is expired. I already extend I-94 BUT still wait for approval.

I read on the website, proof of I94 extension (not yet approved) is not enough. The problem is I need to do visa stamping in US consulate to change status. I just need to be in Canada for 1 or two days.

Expired I 94 is that cause rejection of canadian visitor visa ...? Please advise if you have experience
