Hello All,
Had the most pleasant experience getting my walk-in FP done this afternoon. My ND was Oct 6th 2005.

After waiting and waiting and not hearing anything back, I got an infopass to go to my DO which is the Philly DO for 9th Jan. But considering that the drive would pretty much eat up half a working day or more, my wife and I decided to drive to the York ASC and attempt to do a walk-ing FP/Bio, since York is considerably closer to where I live, compared to Philly. Got there around 2 pm. There were not very many people there. The about 3 ladies and one immigration officer, helping people out, doing the FPs, approving the prints etc. I went up the lady and explained that it was 90 days since my receipt and had not heard anything back and whether they would help me by agreeing to a walk-in FP. Explained that my wife is prego etc and that driving far away to philly this late in the game may be problematic. The nice lady agreed, gave me a form to fill and get back to her. Then she checked the form I filled out, wrote legibly on some places where I had chicken scratched :D, handed me a token number and asked me to wait. After 15 minutes my number was called, I was ushered into a room and another pleasant lady, did all the FPs and bios, got my signatures etc and finally checked, approved and stamped my NOA. They handed me a yellow customer feedback receipt to me and chatted with me about the arrival of the new one in the family and so on and wished me happy holidays! Most pleasant and very very helpful. Kudos to them. I was out by 3 pm.

Hope this helps
Regards
