Hi there,
I sent in my application on October 6 (I live in Queens, NY), and from looking at other people's timelines in New York City, it looks like fingerprint appointments are scheduled approximately a month after applications are sent.
I am going to be out of the country on a business trip from November 4-11 so if my finger print appointment is in fact scheduled a month after when my application was sent it, it looks like I may miss it. So, I wanted to see about walk-in finger printing for the NY area--have others done this? Is it possible? Do I need to notify USCIS, etc?
I realise this is just hypothetical at this stage, but it looks like a good possibility my appointment will be when I am traveling, so I want to at least know what my options are ahead of time, just in case.
Many thanks!
