Waiver Stuck at DOE

Hi Everyone,

I applied for waiver at DOE on 25th Nov 2005. After which, Indian Embassy took two months to sent my No Objection Statement to DOE. As per DOE they received my NOS on 18th Jan 06. Since then I am waiting from their end, whenever we try contacting them at public enq no, they just repeat whats on site. Well this went on till May 06.

Suddenly, on May 17, they update their site and say that "No objection Statement Requested". We were totally confused, as to what happened to the one they received in Jan 06.

However, we tried getting the No Objection Statement once again from Indian Embassy, requesting them to send the copy to DOS. Well now the current situation is we have received a copy from Indian Embassy, saying that they have sent the original to DOS, but DOS has just not updated their website. It still shows the "REquesting No Obj. State"- 17 May 2006. We are kind of worried now, its taking hell lot of time. Can somebody please advise me what to do further? My J1 ends in Dec 06, (3 1/2 yrs)

This wait is literally killing me!!!!
 
I am in a similar situation. My information says sponsor's views requested when my sponsor has sent the report on 6th June. I cant believe DOS is sooo inefficient!!!! If you whom to contact there regarding this please let me know.

What number is that? Is it DOS number? I tried calling on that number but no one picks up the line.
 
It is number for DOS. There should be someone there as I called it before and it worked for me.
