Waitlist appointment any luck????

Hi,

I have scheduled for my mother’s visa appointment in March 1st week. I’m trying to waitlist her to get an earlier appointment in Jan/Feb. There was no open slot on the waitlist date (01/20/05) I requested.

1) Can I schedule for waitlist again? When I try to do it complains that I already have a waitlist date.
2) Did anybody have luck with waitlist appointments?

Please help me with your comments.

That is because only one waiting list request is allowed for a RECEIPT number. This message appers on the website after you make your waiting list request. May be you did not notice.

I just requested for a slot in Feb 02 in waiting list. Let us see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. The Travel agent scheduled her wailist appointment.
Too bad that they are not allowing to do again. If the waitlist person did
not get an opening they should allow to reschedule it.

What date do u give for waitlisting?

The waitlist asks for a specific date. I does not ask for a range of dates that we may prefer. I want appt preponed to some date anywhere in March. How do I do that. If I give a specific date say 10-Mar and if an appt is available on 11th March, will my waitlist request assign 11-Mar or will it just wait for 10-Mar to open up else no action?

Can anyone pls clarify?

As far as I know, waitlist appointment applies only to one specific date. If there happens to be an opening on the requested date the waitlist person gets the slot otherwise it does not use it for any other dates.
 
When is the right time to check for cancellation?

Hi,

I have been looking almost daily for any cancellation in Jan/Feb but I didn't
see one. Is there any specific time of the day I should check? When the
cancellation gets updated in the system? Can anyone please clarify?
