waiting period before applying for green card

Hi,

My company agrees to support my application for green card right after my employment. However, I heard from some source that it is recommend that application should start after 3-6 months of employment.

Does anyone know if I should apply now or apply after 3-6 months? And what\'s the reason of waitting for this period? Is it because of INS requirement?

I donot think there is any such requirement. Companies usually say this because they want to see how you work for a couple of months before spending the money on GC processing.
I know a case in whcih the Labor was started even before the person joined the employer.
 
If your comapny offers it, go for it. Most companies wait 6 months to 1 year to see how the employee

Your company is giving you a good opportunity, take it.
