Waiting for the packet to be sent from KCC to local USCIS

I called KCC today and I was told that even if am filing AOS, I should still send the DS and DSP forms to them so they can update my file.
 
ALWAYS send form DSP-122

Yes you should ALWAYS send form DSP-122 (i sent DS-230 also to be on the safe side) at the VERY least if you're doing AOS. It creates a ton more problems if you don't, as you've been reading here. I don't know why people don't send the forms, and then complain later when they have problems.
 
because for some of us reading in the DV package "you don't have to contact KCC if you do AOS" meant exactly that. And I gave more reasons in my earlier postings. But I guess sometimes it makes a difference who you are talking on the phone at KCC to.
Anyway good luck and do it the way you think is the best. This forum has all the answers.
