Waiting for second FP - Question on travel - suggestions please

Guys,

My RD is :02/14/02. I gave my first FP more than 15 months ago(04/26/02). So far I have not received any notice for second FP. My wife is planning for a trip abroad. Is it a good idea to call BCIS and ask for second FP notice?
