Waiting for Oath (NEW YORK, CHICAGO, PHILADELPHIA, CALIFORNIA...)

I know couple of people waiting for Oath. Its been more than 4 months and they have not heard anything from the USCIS.
Does any body know how to track your Oath letter? or Check status of your Oath online?

I understand philadelphian's frustration. I hope you get your Oath letter soon.

Please share your Oath experience here (only if your Oath was delayed for several months. And how did you get your Oath letter?)

PD=23rd Jan, 2003
FP Feb 2003
Interview July, 2003
District: Oakland, CA
FBI results forwarded 11th Feb 2004 (God knows what results???)
Oath........still waiting (contacted congressman.twice..Not much help provided....no one knows the status:mad: :mad:
 
My friend is waiting for Oath in NY (Garden City office):
Timeline:
Priority: Oct 2002
Interview: Dec: 2003
Oath: waiting

There is no place online to check the local application status. If you call the local office, they respond by saying 'wait' and your application is in process.
 
Hi ibm101

Did you try to find out if your name check was cleared from FBI befrore Feb 2004?
I have my interview on May 14th, and I found out from FBI that name check was done and the results were sent to INS

I have seen alot of cases where the oath lettter was received a month after the interview in Oakland,CA

Yes, I did they said results have gone to USCIS...but on going to Oakland, CA the officer told me that ur file is on hold.... God knows what????/ I do not know what results???

Sorry dude I am not that lucky...My friend too got their citizenship in less than a year....Me waiting forever:mad:

You will get it but it will take little time. I heard they do extra checking for common names. But I am sure letter will come soon to your mailbox.

Did you call the toll free number to speak with an INS officer and ask him the status ? The oath date is mentioned on the worksheet they see...

Good luck to you. I thought Vermont is faster then NY. I guess every case is different. Hope for the best.

No, I went directly to the Oakland Office (Ca) and met the officer. He said some additional info was required by FBI from INS regarding me. Now what on earth INS will provide. They should have contacted me directly.

You know I already informed about my past history to FBI by FAX from my own side. (from student visa in1987 to present Job till 2004. I cannot figure out the delay. U know all the people with muslim name got cleared in a few months. Only me waiting for 1.5 yrs now....... I need to do international adoption but what can be done. Infact I already arranged for a baby but since no papers the baby will go to someone else. Really frustrated...:mad: :mad:

You say "FBI results forwarded 11th Feb 2004 ". Your name check was done? and they still want more info from INS? beats me
