waiting for interview letter

hi,
my husband and i went for our fingerprinting recently on may13th 2004. we are waiting for the interview letter , our lawyer told us it would take like 3months but its already in the 5th month.
ours is an employment based greencard .does anyone know about how long it takes to get the interview letter.

Nowdays in most of the cases, there are no interviews as such. You would just get approval (if e'thing is OK).

FP does not mean that the case is likely to get over in X no. months. Some people have even got 2nd call for FPs (after the 1st FP validity has passed). So just hang tight and monitor the processing times for 485 for your Service center.

what service centre did you file your case in.
Also if your lawyer is expecting an interview then either he already has a notice that your case has been transfered to alocal centre or knows something about your case you dont know :)
if you can comment where your local centre is then maybe people from the same local office waiting /interview already can comment when you will get an interview.
If your case hasnt been transfered , chances are you would be approved without intyerview as 5% of the emplymenet cases are transfered. unfortunately I fall among the 5%. :)
check your status at the uscis site . you will need your reciept number ...
should either say wacXXX.......... or LIN XXXX......or eacXXX>>>> and see what it says.

first of all a big thank u to all for replying.our case has been transfered to a local office which is phildelphia. the uscis website says that your case has been approved and scheduling an interview can take a couple months.i'm just wondering couple months would be like how long or can they send us an interview letter earlier.

hi,
i finally got my interview letter , the interview is schdueled for 20th october.
i'm soo happy :)
but the only stress i have right now is they only sent the interview letter for my husband and not me.i wonder if they will send mine later or do i just go in with him.
 
question regarding stamping

hi,
i had a question regarding stamping, i was wondering if the interview goes well and we are approved do they stamp the passport right away or do they fix another date for stamping.ours is an employment based greencard.
