Waiting for Green Card

Received my K-3 status in August and have been in U.S. with husband since December. Last update from BCIS was in July which said 30-90 days processing for permanent green card. Called after 90 days and was told they have 2 years to work on it!!
Apparently I will have to make a trip back to Canada to obtain the visa once it is processed.
Now that I am in the US should I submit an I-485 or just wait for final processing of the I-130 for green card?

K3 allows you to travel. You should keep it valid till possible. If you got your I130 then you can get EAD and travel parole. After I130, if your sponsor is a citizen, it may take about 6 - 12 months to get GC interview.

I dont believe you understood my question. I have a k-3. I was advised in July that the permanent visa would be processed within 30-90 days.
This has not been processed yet. Should I just wait for it to be processed or should I apply for adjustment of status since I am living in the US based on my K3 status.

I received my K-3 in Canada and was advised at that time that it would be necessary for me to return to Canada to get the permanent visa when it is finally processed based on I-130
