I submitted I-485 (by marriage) in October (ND: 10/26) and currently waiting for Interview date. I am planning to go to Canada in July and I'm debating whether to get AP or not. My DO is Chicago and since by July it would be 8 months since my ND I would really like to not pay the $170 for AP if I dont have to (a friend of mine got her interview @ Chicago DO in her 7th months after ND).
My I-485 LUD is 12/19/05 which I find kind of bizzare since the processing date on USCIS.gov site for Chicago DO on I-485 is currently on mid November ND. My application is complete, I've done FP twice and I got my EAD 58 days after ND.
So I need some suggestions on how I should go about this. I am hoping to get some update from people working with the Chicago DO in terms of current AOS processing time.
A couple of questions also: how long before Interview Date would you usually receive the notification/invitation for Interview?
Any help you can provide is much much appreciated.
