waiting for fingerprinting notice in nyc

Hi everyone on this forum,
I applied for naturalisation about three months ago.My PD is 21 june,2004.Is there anyone from nyc who recently got a fingerprinting notice can tell me how long does it take to get the notice after filing the application?Moreover my status does not show online.The receipt notice i received says the USCIS website doesn't support online status check.Any help apprecieted.

Also waiting for fingerprinting

not from NYC, but from Boston, its the same Service center though...submitted my application in May, Receipt notice and Priority Date May 7th, 2004...still waiting for fingerprinting notice...called 2-3 times to Call Center, no help, they just tell me to wait...

I myself have tried national customer service number many times but have been greeted with sole answer-WAIT.The california service ctr. advisory says if you are not scheduled for fingerprinting in 120 days after filing the application,contact us.There seems to be chaos all over in the dept.

The VSC area in general has been taking about 2 - 3 months for the fingerprinting notice.

i applied in VSC (live in Boston)
it took a month to get FP scheduled, but the interview after that was scheduled 6 months later
it all depends on the case, i guess...or the load of work the INS has?
