What is the reasonable time to get final approval letter ?
I have got recommended approval in august 2005 and still waiting for final letter.
Sent several status request letters to miami office and each time got the same repsonse that final letter will be issues as soon as background checks are completed.
My lawyer said something about 6-12 month before taking some action.
Any siggestions are appreciated.

Anybody waiting for final approval from Miami Asylum office?
They seem to be the slowest since their own status request form says 180 days as max for final approval and I have already passed this mark.
Trying to be patient, wish BCIS will start counting recommended approval letter issue date toward green card one year.

NO. They do not count the time spent waiting for final approval in the one year period. The one year clock does not start running until you are actually approved.

There is little you can do except to bug them often.

Trying to be patient...
Yeah, we are all trying... to be patient. I have the same story from Miami asylum office, waiting since july, 2005 for final approval. Some people recommended to go there and try to see the IO, maybe its the only way???

Dear lord. These days it is taking an eternity. Mine took 2weeks from approval.

Although i am paying for it now waiting for Greencard
