Wait Time Same for CSC and TSC

Hello Friends,

I just returned from California yesterday. I learned from my friends that California Service center takes around a year to send the plastic card. TSC seems to be faster in sending the card (around a month). So basically we all wait for the same time. Either you wait before I485 is approved or after it is approved and passport is stamped. I would prefer the later.

But what about job security during waiting time. I think CSC people are better placed with GC stamp in passport while waiting for plastic.

No comparison

Passport stamp is exactly the same as a plastic card in every regard (except convenience): employment, travel, eligibility to sponsor relatives for immigration, timeline for citizenship.
In other words, they are equivalent evidences of one fact:
that the bearer is a US Permanent Resident.
Hence waiting time is till the stamp, the card issuance date
is immaterial indeed.
