Dear All,

Called the USCIS..the officer gave us receipt numbers for all three of us, entered in the system on August 31. July 2 filing at NSC, the case now at TSC...CHECKS not cashed..I am fine if they do it for free..

I would appreciate some infromation from experts...when I key in the numbers on the USCIS site for travel/work authorization..it says received and pending..is it a general terminolgy...does it mean that my EAD is also approved? Appreciate your inputs!

ya ' received and pending' is the general status it shows until ur application gets approved,,, for EAD it changes to 'card production ordered' once it is approved, for me it took 90 days
 
How come you got teh receipt #s

Hi I also tried calling the USCIS and the couldn't provide me the receipt numbers . Which number did you call? and did they gave the receipt numbers based on your last name?

General experience is that USCIS agent tells you to wait for 90 days from the sent date when you call to inquire about non receipt of receipt notices. What did you do so agent start speaking receipt numbers like parrot? CAn you give us more detail on how you asked questions? what options you dialed etc...?
