The whole process is done for me and my wife.
Here is the short overview:
I-140 filed last June RD 03/07/03 Under NIW
I-140 01/26/04 approved
Concurrent filling for I-485/I-131/I-785 RD 09/12/03
I-131/I-785 Approved in January-February 2004
Fingerprint appointment on 04/17/04
I-485 Approval on 08/17/04
Both passports stamped in INS local office three days ago, again finger printed for GC and signed the last document.
The whole process (including I-140 pending plus I-485 pending) for me and my wife took 13 months since we sent the first Application
.
I would like to emphasize that I did the whole package alone without any lawyer! Just to encourage all of you who are waiting for approvals or you people who are still thinking to apply for the GC. It is doable by your self even though it requires a lot of work and skills
. On the end it worths the money which I would otherwise pay to the lawyer (at least 8K).
As a final word I would like to thank all of you. It's been a pleasure to be a part of such a nicely organized network. A special appriciation goes to the people who are managing this web site and brought this idea to realization. This is a great and invaluable help to thousands who are lost and desperate in misterious and unpredictible principle of INS (sorry CIS) operation.
From my experiance I can say - everything worked perfectly but also I know that I was very, very lucky.
