Oh my. Can't believe it. Returned from Disneyworld last night after 5 days of not checking my status and found that the magic email had arrived at 8.03 am EDT 8th June, saying we had been approved and the notice had been sent out on the 7th June.

Just cannot believe it. Lawyer used AC21 as hubby was working for the same co, but at a different location (CA to NJ). W2 was more than 100% greater than salary mentioned on the LC. Did not offer an explanation as to why it was different ( I was a bit nervous of not enclosing paystubs as extras, but lawyer insisted that CIS do not care that salary is greater).

56 days post RFE, Level 1 and 2 fax inquiries, phone call from CIS on 5/27 saying file was going to officer

So, this part of the journey ends - time to "join the queue" for citizenship in 4 yrs 9 months.

Bless you all and approval vibes all round *_>*^><*

Had your case been transferred from California service center to Vermont service center when you filed AC 21? Did you update your address also?
How about the finger print, was it in california or in new jersey?

My husband has also been transferred from NJ to CA but with the same company and my lawyer told us that if we use AC 21, our case is gonna be transferred to california service center and can delay the processing.

Please tell me your situation since I think we're almost on the same track.

Hi ,
This approval is going to increase the confidence of the people who r waiting for GC approval after using AC 21 with same job title/skill set but higher salary. Ofcourse I am one of them with same Job Title.Skill Set but with 100% increase in the salaray compared to LC.

Hi Sandhill

My Lawyer deliberately did not file for AC21 / address change (did put in AR11 tho') until RFE came.
She told me that this was to give us the best possible chance to not get transferred.
2nd fingerprint notice was for CA, but we went to NJ Newark, they took the prints and changed our address on the system. This had no impact on the file, as even now they still have our address as the CA one - the approval notice asks us to go to CA for stamping. We will just go up to Newark as before, and give them our correct address as the one for card delivery. :)

Hope this helps Sandhill - good luck!

Thanks Toonarmy,

How about the state you file for tax return, is it CA or NJ?
Btw, your address in CA is your address or your relative address? What state that issue your driver licence?

My lawyer also suggests me not to let INS know about change of address..but from this forum I found that INS sometimes will ask about the proof of residence...since I use my friend's address, I don't have any proof that I live there and my driver license is from another state.

Thanks for your help...I'm confused right now.

Sandhill...

Everything is in NJ, drivers license, tax return, payslips etc. We have no address in CA. We still get notices etc cos they all go to attorney rather than our own address.

I must say the advice worked for us, but I have seen others who have notified a change of address immediately and still didnt get transferred - so you never know.

Let me know how you get on... :)
