I have an RFE on EAD for photographs and have already send the appropriate photographs to INS for processing. INS confirms that they have recieved the photographs. Can anyone tell me how long will it take for INS to approve and send me the EAD card now that they have got all the information needed to process RFE on EAD?

Should be fairly fast

What are the dates of RFE and RFE response? I think it should be fast but you never know with INS,
 
RFE on EAD

RFE generated in mid August.
Never got mail about RFE.
Talked to IIO over the phone a couple of time.
Finally got the actual RFE notice in third week of Sept.
RFE was for photos.
Responded immidiately.
On 7th Nov, INS updated online status saying that they have recieved my photographs.

My interim EAD expires in Feb, so I am hoping that the actual EAD will come before my interim EAD expires since after getting laid off I accepted other job (same type of job same salary) on the basis of my interim EAD.

If actual EAD does not come before interim EAD expires I will be in a big mess.

Any advice what I do to make sure no such situation arises when my interim EAD expires. Should I apply for another EAD just in case?

Dont worry too much

I am in similar situation. I am about to respond to the RFE for a copy of I-140 approval notice. My EAD expires in the third week of Jan 03 and if the 485 and the second EAD applications are still pending at that time, I will have no choice but to ask for another interim EAD and I am confident that they will issue it.
 
INS won't issue iEAD if RFE is pending on actual EAD

Based on prior posts on this forum, INS local offices don't issue iEAD if there is an RFE on the actual EAD pending at CSC.

So, unless I am missing something, best hope is for actual EAD being approved before iEAD expires.
 
Dont they issue 2nd iEAD even if we have replied to the RFE and no further RFEs issued? Can we not show the RFE letter and the documents requested therein and a mailing receipt...
I know its better to get the EAD and I485 approved is still better, but we dance to INS tune.:mad:
 
Here is my case

I had the same case as u

i applied for EAD card dec 01 and then
got RFE for it .

I got my IEAD in end june valid till feb

sent in my photos before mid july deadline

got my EAD card valid for whole year end AUG
